Dulbecco’s Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS)

DESCRIPTION

Dulbecco’s Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS) is an isotonic buffer solution used for washing cells and tissues. DBPS is also used as a system for maintaining cell culture media within the physiological range of 7.2 – 7.6.

It is a chemically-defined, balanced salt solution that sustains mammalian cells. It also provides a suitable environment to maintain the physiological and structural integrity of cells in vitro for a finite period of time.

CytonexTM DPBS also does not have Calcium and Magnesium. Calcium (Ca2+) and Magnesium (Mg2+) can inhibit Trypsin activity and therefore, CytonexTM DPBS can be used in Trypsin solutions and in the dissociation process to wash and resuspend cells in situations where Calcium and Magnesium may inhibit Trypsin activity.

Tested on human Wharton’s Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cells.
